At the “International Economic Position of Serbia — MEPS 2026” conference held in Belgrade on 3 November, representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) presented foreign trade figures for the first nine months of 2026.
Key figures presented
PKS official Bojan Stanić said goods exports rose by about 9% and goods imports by around 5%. In his assessment, the difference helped narrow the goods trade deficit. Services exports increased by approximately 7% over the same period.
Chamber representatives also said that around 20,000 of Serbia’s approximately 130,000 companies export goods or services. Conference participants discussed increasing the value added by Serbian products, accessing new markets and improving business competitiveness.
These are figures and assessments for a particular reporting period, as presented by conference participants. They do not predict that every industry or individual company will experience the same rate of growth.
