Serbian consumer electronics retailer Gigatron and Slovenia’s Big Bang Group have announced an agreement under which Gigatron founder and chief executive Vladan Janković would sell his entire ownership stake to Bidigital naložbe, the parent company of Big Bang. Biznis.rs reported the announcement on 4 November 2026; 021.rs also carried the report.
Scope and conditions of the deal
According to figures presented in the company announcement, the combined group would generate more than €550 million in annual revenue, operate over 90 physical stores and five online stores, and employ approximately 1,700 people across four countries. These are projected figures for the combined business, not Gigatron’s standalone results.
The transaction still requires clearance from the relevant competition authorities. It should therefore not be described as a fully completed transfer of ownership. Once the deal closes, Janković is expected to remain Gigatron’s chief executive and become a co-owner of Bidigital.
Customers should monitor official company communications about warranties, returns and store operations. The announcement alone does not change existing consumer rights.
