Novi Sad: JKP Put begins winter night duty as road and cycle-lane repairs continue

JKP Put has begun night shifts for Novi Sad's winter road service while crews repair roads, pavements and cycle lanes in the city and nearby settlements.

In early November, Novi Sad’s municipal road company JKP Put began night-duty shifts as part of the city’s winter maintenance service. Crews also continued repairs to carriageways, pavements and cycling routes across Novi Sad and surrounding settlements.

Roadwork locations and winter arrangements

According to a Radio Television of Vojvodina (RTV) report dated 2 November 2026, road repairs were under way on Moše Pijade, Žarka Jovića and Lazara Stejina streets in Kać. Speed humps were being installed on 7. jula and Stevana Perišića streets in Kovilj.

Within Novi Sad, workers were improving pedestrian areas on Aleksandra Nevskog and Anđe Ranković streets and a cycle lane on Novosadski put. In Petrovaradin, roadside shoulders were being repaired on Tešana Podrugovića and Tihomira Arsića streets. Regular maintenance of road signs and traffic lights was also planned.

The winter service season runs through 31 March 2027, with work and standby levels dependent on weather conditions. The locations are reported worksites, not confirmation that all repairs have already been completed.
