Novi Sad adds cemetery buses for memorial Saturday on 7 November

More buses will serve Novi Sad's City Cemetery on 7 November. A minibus within the grounds will assist older visitors and people with disabilities between 7 am and 2 pm.

Novi Sad expects more visitors to its cemeteries on Saturday, 7 November 2026, for Mitrovske zadušnice, an Orthodox day of remembrance for the dead. The city’s transport operator, JGSP Novi Sad, has announced additional bus capacity towards the City Cemetery.

Transport within the cemetery

Municipal cemetery operator JKP Lisje says a minibus will carry older visitors and people with disabilities from the City Cemetery’s main entrance between 7 am and 2 pm. Private cars may not enter the cemetery grounds on weekdays or Saturdays.

Lisje also asks visitors to use water taps responsibly, dispose of rubbish in designated places and make sure candles are extinguished before leaving to reduce the risk of fire.

Route details published on 6 November

According to an update published by RTV on 6 November, articulated buses will operate on route 14 on 7 November. Additional departures towards Čenej are scheduled for 10:30 am and 11:45 am. Selected services on routes 53 and 55 departing Novi Sad at 8:40, 9:50, 10:50, 11:55 am and 1:10 and 3:30 pm will continue to the Futog cemetery. The listed return departures are 9:30, 10:35 and 11:40 am, and 12:45, 2:00 and 4:20 pm. Passengers should check JGSP’s current timetable before travelling.
