Serbian-language teacher Rima Grujić said that on 4 November 2026 she and music teacher Jovan Travica received new suspension notices at the Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Gymnasium in Novi Sad. According to Grujić, the deputy head handed them the notices when they arrived to teach.
What the teachers have reported
Grujić said she expected two other teachers who had previously been reinstated by court orders to receive similar notices, but that had not been confirmed when the report was published. In her account, the new documents referred to the same disciplinary proceedings and repeated complaints concerning earlier protests and school duties.
The teacher said the group planned to approach prosecutors to determine whether the measures complied with the court’s orders. Her concerns are allegations requiring legal examination, not a final ruling that the school management acted unlawfully.
The dispute forms part of a wider conflict involving school staff and parents. Earlier reporting covered parents’ plans to seek a meeting with the Education Ministry on 5 November (Serbian-language article).
