Belgrade’s Odeon theatre, owned by Željko Mitrović, reported a net loss of approximately 246.6 million Serbian dinars for 2025, according to financial statements filed with Serbia’s Business Registers Agency (APR). Nova ekonomija reported the figures on 4 November 2026.
The figures and what they do not prove
The theatre recorded around 19.1 million dinars in operating revenue and 265.6 million dinars in operating expenses. Its 2025 report listed 97 employees. Odeon also recorded a loss in 2024, when its net deficit was 123.4 million dinars.
The publication followed an announcement by the owner that the theatre’s ensembles would be disbanded and jobs cut. The annual accounts, however, do not independently establish how many people actually lost their jobs during 2026. Claims about dismissals must be distinguished from the audited reporting-period figures.
These numbers concern Odeon as a particular legal entity and the 2025 reporting year. They should not be conflated with the financial results of other companies associated with the same owner.
