Accuracy is central to SRBIJA NEWS. If you find a factual error in one of our articles, we want to examine it and correct the public record where warranted.
How to report a mistake
Email [email protected]. Please include the article URL, the exact claim you believe is wrong, an explanation and any documents or first-hand evidence that can help us verify the correction. You do not need to be a source named in the original story to report an error.
What happens next?
The newsroom reviews reports against original source material and, where necessary, seeks additional documents or a response from relevant parties. Confirmed material factual errors should be corrected promptly. If a change substantially affects a story’s meaning, the article should carry a visible correction or update note explaining what was changed and when. Minor spelling or formatting corrections may not require an individual note.
Clarifications and responses
We may add clarifying context when a statement is technically accurate but misleading without explanation. We distinguish verified facts from allegations, predictions and opinions. Being criticised in a report does not automatically make the report erroneous; nevertheless, people directly affected may contact the newsroom with evidence or a substantive response.
Editorial independence
Requests to delete accurate reporting simply because it is uncomfortable are evaluated against journalistic, privacy and legal considerations. Advertisers and partners cannot purchase an editorial correction or determine coverage. For our broader approach, see Editorial Standards.
